Reliance Jio is surprising every customer and its competitor’s with its exciting plans now and then. According to the reports, Reliance Jio is currently working on new Jio Fiber broadband service which is going to be launch by Diwali. The base plan from companies’ home broadband Jio Fiber would start at about Rs.500 which offers 100GB data.
Earlier there were reports that home broadband Jiofiber’s commercial launch would be June. But officially there is no news for the exact launch date. Reliance Jio’s Twitter handle had tweeted this out, “The Jio Fiber Preview Offer has currently being launched in select areas of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara. Our network is in the process of being rolled out to other cities.”
There are also reports that Jio Fiber is testing its 100Mbps speeds in some cities such as Chennai and Mumbai. There would be difficulties for Jio Fiber broadband services to get the permission from the gated colonies.
Jio Fiber is offering double the data at half price as compared to the service providers such as Airtel broadband. Current plans of Airtel Broadband are Rs 899 for 60 GB data through bonus one can get extension up to 750 GB data for one year, plan of Rs 1099 for 90 GB data per month and 1000 GB data per year at speed of 40Mbps, plan of Rs 1299 for 125 GB data per month and 1000GB data per year at high speed of 100Mbps.
In Hyderabad, ACT is offering 1GB per second internet speed downloading limit up to 1TB downloading limit in Rs 5999. ACT has started offering 100Mbps data speed in Delhi also.
As of March BSNL is ruling in the broadband service customer list with over 10 million customers followed by Bharti Airtel with about 1.95 million customers.
Jio Fiber network is capable of carrying data of about 100Mbps. Currently, Jio Fiber network is expanded in 10 largest cities in the country with metro cities including (Noida and Gurgaon), and there is work in progress in other cities.
