The low-cost Reliance Jio offers forced the other telecom operators to launch affordable plans to retain their current customers. While the other operators such as Vodafone, Idea Cellular, and Airtel has already launched the plans to attract the customers. BSNL also just not want to be back as they also launch the chaukka plan of Rs 444 in which they will provide unlimited data for 90 days (3 months).

If we compare the Reliance Jio plan with the BSNL’s new chaukka plan – both are unlimited data plans. But reliance is much faster network than BSNL because it is the 4G network as BSNL hasn’t launched 4G, so the offer by BSNL which is known as the chaukka plan is the 3G plan. Other than that Reliance Jio is offering 1 GB data for a day compared to BSNL offer of 4 GB per day. No other telecom operator has offered such a high limit data of 4 GB data per day.

BSNL’s chaukka plan is only data tariff plan, and no free or unlimited voice calling is offered in this plan as compared to the Reliance Jio’s unlimited voice calling. If we compare as which operator is providing most valuable offer than it is BSNL which provides at Rs. 1.23 per GB against the Jio’s Rs. 11 per GB and Rs. 9 per GB for the Rs. 309 and Rs 509 packs respectively.

BSNL Rs. 444 Offer is launched because of the success of the previous plan named Triple Ace of Rs 333 which provides 3 GB data per day with the validity of 90 days. BSNL Rs. 444 Plan (chaukka plan) is mentioned on the BSNL as 60 days plan, but BSNL confirmed that it is of 90 days. But there is no official announcement by the operators for the availability of the chaukka plan.

“We are committed to providing affordable and efficient services to all segments of our mobile customers. We offer best prices to our customers considering the present trend of Indian telecom industry.” BSNL’s Director for Consumer Mobility RK Mittal said.

For those customers who want voice calling and data both, BSNL has launched “Dil Khol Ke Bol” offer for them in Rs. 349 which offers unlimited voice calling (local and STD) with 2GB of internet data for 28 days. There is another plan of ‘Nehle Pe Dehla’ of Rs 395 in which users will get 3000 minutes for BSNL numbers, and 1800 minutes to any other network, additionally they also get 2 GB internet data per day for 28 days.
